Why they are free and how they work
These tools run in your browser with JavaScript: whatever you type, paste or open in them is not sent to any server, and you do not need an account. They exist so that people already looking for transcription solutions get to know VOCAP when the time comes to turn audio into text with AI. Meanwhile, the tools are useful as they are and we ask for nothing in return.
Frequently asked questions about the tools
Do I need to sign up to use them?
No. All four tools are open and run in your browser. You only need to sign up to use AI automatic transcription, which is a separate service.
Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. The calculator only takes a duration (not a file). The SRT/VTT/TXT converter and the word counter process the text in your browser. The timestamp converter sends nothing either.
Do they work on mobile?
Yes, they were designed for mobile from the start. If one fails in your browser for some reason, try an up-to-date Chrome or Safari.
Is there a usage limit?
No. You can use them as many times as you want: since everything runs in your browser, there is no quota.
What if I need the text of an audio file?
